Yasser El Malih, professionally known as Stormy, is a prominent Moroccan rapper and songwriter who has become a leading figure in the contemporary Moroccan hip-hop scene. Born in 1997 into a musically inclined family in Rabat, Stormy was exposed to a diverse array of genres early on, ranging from metal to American hip-hop. This early exposure fostered a unique stylistic foundation that allowed him to bridge the gap between technical lyricism and commercial appeal. He initially gained industry attention in 2020 through a string of successful singles before cementing his status in 2021 with the collaborative album 'Jackpot,' recorded alongside Tagne. Throughout his career, Stormy has demonstrated remarkable versatility, effortlessly maneuvering between genres such as trap, drill, afrobeat, and Brazilian funk.
